DTN Closing Livestock Comment 06/30 16:50
Cattle Scaled Significantly Higher Throughout Monday's Trade

With traders pleased to see the continued support of strong consumer demand,
the cattle contracts rallied aggressively all through Monday's trade.

ShayLe Stewart
DTN Livestock Analyst

GENERAL COMMENTS:

It was a mixed day for the livestock complex as the cattle contracts rallied
aggressively but the lean hog contracts drifted lower. New showlists appear to
be mixed, higher in Texas, and Nebraska/Colorado, but lower in Kansas. July
corn is up 3 cents per bushel and July soybean meal is up $0.20. The Dow Jones
Industrial Average is up 275.50 points and the NASDAQ is up 96.27 points.
