Administrative & Marketing Advantages
Accounting Procedures Mid-America's versatile computer program offers investors financial analysis and sales projections in a multitude of customized formats. We can output reports daily, weekly, or on-the-spot letting you know how many pounds of feed your cattle consumed today or from the first day they arrived into the yard. We can give you the cost of feed per head per day, the projected rate of gain each day, and the estimated weight of your animals each day, in reports that factor in everything from breed and ration mix to entry condition and place of origin. Cost analysis and break even projections are provided upon request. Mid-America invoices on a semi-monthly basis with an easy to read and understand feed invoice and statement of account balance.
Nearby Packers At your request, we will keep you up to date with projections of a finishing date from the first day your cattle arrive at our yard. When that day comes, we will have buyers here to see your cattle. We have 6 packers represented at Mid-America each week, 4 major and 2 regional buying competitively live, or on the rail. Value based marketing or grid marketing is a viable option customers may want to explore too. We also have packers that are buying Angus & Holstein cross. When cattle are finished and ready to be placed on the show list we will keep customers informed and involved in the marketing process. We can market the whole pen or we can sort cattle out of a pen to be sold. Marketing Assistance & Risk Management In addition to marketing your cattle to packers when they are ready and on the show list, we can assist with the forward contracting of your cattle.
